What You Will Need
  • A working email address to receive communications during the process
  • Employment history information, basic resume, and skills documentation
  • 1–2 hours for the entire process (you may pause and resume later)
  • Complete the online application within three weeks (incomplete applications are deleted after two months)

  • Two competency tests: Medical Surgical & Pharmacology (80% to pass)
  • Licensed Nursing Personnel application
  • Skills inventory
  • Three references
  • Criminal background affirmation
  • Employee health statement
  • Hepatitis B vaccine fact sheet and statement
  • Nursing skills self-assessment
  • Job description, HIPAA Statement & Conditions of employment
  • OSHA review

Virginia Telehealth and Staffing is multi-state registered and licensed. We verify the following for every licensed medical professional:
  • Current professional license to perform duties without restrictions
  • Completion of CPR, First Aid, and other relevant training
  • Eligibility to work in the USA
  • Two to three job-related or personal references
  • Health and fitness to perform assigned duties
  • Screening for tuberculosis
  • Verification against FSA, OIG, and known sex offender lists
  • Criminal background history check
  • Yearly OSHA training
  • Professional competence through skills testing
When You Come to Our Office, Bring
  • Three forms of ID
  • PPD (tuberculosis test)
  • Nursing license
  • A form of ID or Driver's License
  • CPR certification
